Reasons to Keep a Monthly Chiropractic Appointment

Many people think, once you go to a chiropractor you will have to go forever. This is simply not true, but very wise to do so! I’m not saying this because it benefits the chiropractor. It 100% benefits you as an individual.

There are several reasons to keep a monthly occurring appointment with a chiropractor:

  1. The original issue you had when you visited the chiropractor will be kept under control. (Once you have injured something, it is easily susceptible to re-injury.)
  2. Your immune system will stay boosted and able to fight off colds easier.
  3. You will stay balanced and aligned to prevent other issues. (Such as early degeneration, bones spurring, disc problems, and knee, hip and other joint issues/replacement.)
  4. Any other issues that arise can be taken care of quickly.
  5. You will feel AMAZING!!

Car Maintenance

Think about car tires. When you have a flat tire, you pull over and stop driving. When you drive on a flat, it can damage the wheel, can damage the tire further, and can structurally damage the car. So it’s important to get the tire fixed before driving again to help prevent other issues that can arise.

Do you ever rotate your tires? Rotating allows each tire to get a different wear pattern to help make the tires life longer. If you don’t you will have to get a new tire(s) sooner than needed. Just like changing the oil in a car every 3-5000 miles. If you don’t change your oil regularly, you will cause engine damage.

Have you ever noticed one pant leg dragging or longer than the other? Or one shoe wearing faster than the other? Take a look at the soles of your shoes, is there a different wear pattern on each shoe? This is VERY indicative of needing to go to the chiropractor to get adjusted. (Just like a car needing an alignment, tires rotated, oil changed, ect!!)

Alignment

Think about what kind of damage a short leg can do to a human body. If you are standing with both feet on the floor, going up your legs into your knees, your knees will wear differently. Then we come up to your hips, your hips will be un-level, which then can cause your spine to become un-level. When there is un-leveling of the spine or hips, it can cause degeneration, bone spurs, scoliosis, early knee replacement or early hip replacement.

Pain is the LAST sign that something is wrong. Being proactive and getting checked before you have pain can save you time, money, pain, and health problems. Doesn’t it make sense to keep aligned and not have to “fix” issues that can arise versus having severe issues that takes a significant amount of time to fix? (Like car maintenance, being proactive is better than finding yourself stranded on the side of the road.)

If you have any questions about how chiropractic can help, give me or a chiropractor near you a call! Chiropractic is whole body wellness and focuses on a LOT more than just low back or neck pain!
