12 Halloween Candy Alternatives

Who doesn’t love Halloween candy? As a kid I loved going trick or treating to get all the candy!! From a healthy stand point, all that sugar is terrible for your health and teeth!

Sugar isn’t the only additive in candy. You have to worry about soy, color dyes, peanuts, and other allergens. Soy is a hormone disruptor, it acts as a weak estrogen and has some health concerns for longterm use.

So I have put together a list of candy alternatives for trick-or-treaters:

1. Bouncy Balls

My kids love bouncy balls! They are hours of entertainment.

2. Spider and Bug Rings

What little kid doesn’t love fake plastic bug rings?! I know I did as a kid!!

3. Halloween Pencils

With adult supervision of course…. My kids love to draw and color!

4. Honey sticks

Great alternative to refined sugar. A natural sugar with health benefits!

5. Organic Lollipops

Some can even include vitamin C. Which is great for cold and flu season!!

6. Pre-packaged apple slices

Paired with a little Carmel dip… YUM! And they are getting fruit.

7. Glow Bracelets

What’s better than glow bracelets in the dark? NOTHING!

8. Bubbles

You can even make your own stickers to add to the front of the bubbles to dress them up for Halloween.

9. Stickers

I give stickers out to all my kids at the office and they are always a huge hit! So why not buy cute halloween stickers and hand them out?!

10. Organic Gummy Bears or Fruit Snacks

Free of artificial dyes and flavors, my kids love fruit snacks!

11. Glow in the Dark Tattoos

These are just too much fun! My kids love temporary tattoos. 

12. Halloween Coloring Book

Letting kids color is important for brain development.
