New Year New You

2020 is in our rear view mirror! Looking back, if you take away the “China Virus”, I had a pretty fantastic year but, I know that isn’t the case with everyone out there reading this. There is much joking about not declaring 2021 being your year and to walk into it quietly. That’s just not my style. I try to make each year better and healthier! I have so many goals for 2021. If you’re still reading, I bet your interested in making 2021 a better year as well.

A few of my goals include:

  • starting out the year on the Daniel Fast. (I did it last year, but I didn’t cut out the coffee, this year I’m actually giving up my coffee for 21 days! 🙈 (and my husband is actually doing it this year with me, maybe one of his is to become a trophy husband.))
  • Strengthening my knowledge of the Bible and my relationship with God.
  • I got kettlebells for Christmas, so obviously getting more fit is on my list 😂.
  • Spending more quality time with my kiddos and husband are a must.
  • As well as, finishing up my functional medicine certification and nutritional diplomat, so I can start helping more people with their health! <— I’m going to be busy this year!

What are your goals for this new year? The top 5 most used New Year’s resolutions are: To exercise to get in shape, diet to lose weight, save money, eat healthier, and do something for self care. Any of those fit your bill?

Chiropractic Care

What if I told you chiropractic care can help you do all those things? First off you’re doing something for yourself by caring for your spine. Once you start caring about how your body functions and notice how different it feels after an adjustment, you are much more apt to take less medication, eat healthier, and work out to lose those extra pounds or to just get healthier!

Studies show that people under chiropractic care has:

  • 60% decrease in in-hospital admissions,
  • 59% decrease in hospital days,
  • 62% decrease in outpatient surgeries and procedures, and
  • 85% decrease in pharmaceutical costs!
  • Paid cost for episodes of care initiated with a DC were almost 40% less than episodes initiated with an MD.

Those who visited chiropractors paid less and were more satisfied with the care given!

Eating healthier causes you to cook at home. You spend less money on junk food and eating out. You can go to YouTube and check out workout videos from home. When your spine is functioning properly (and you’re eating healthier) you will get sick less often, so you won’t be skipping work as much and won’t need those extra medications in your cupboard. So chiropractic care can save you money!

If you have any questions on where to start with chiropractic give us or a chiropractor near you a call. Prevention care is cheaper and healthier than sick care. Typically wellness care is one visit a month to the chiropractor. Unless you have unknown issues that need to be addressed at the beginning of care.

What’s stopping you from caring for your body and your health? After all you have seen in 2020, you should want to be healthier for you and your family. People preached being healthy, but lacked the sense to start actually being healthy. Fast food, medications, binge watching Netflix, not getting enough sleep due to stress or binge watching Netflix, over eating and gaining the “COVID 20”, drinking too much, consuming all the sugars… None of that is health.
